CO2 Capture To Convert Into Algae Protein By Vertical Photo Bioreactor
Turning CO₂ Emissions into Sustainable Protein
Our Vertical Photobioreactor (PBR) System captures concentrated CO₂ from Bio-CNG, biogas, industrial and other suitable gas streams and utilizes it for controlled algae cultivation. The process converts captured carbon into high-value algal biomass and protein, creating an innovative pathway for carbon utilization and sustainable production.

How It Works
Captured and conditioned CO₂ is supplied to a vertical algae cultivation system, where selected microalgae grow under optimized light, nutrient and operating conditions. The harvested algae is then concentrated, dewatered and dried to produce a protein-rich biomass suitable for further processing.
CO₂ Capture → Vertical Cultivation → Algae Growth → Harvesting → Dewatering → Algae Protein
Key Advantages
- Converts CO₂ emissions into a valuable product
- High-density vertical photobioreactor design
- Controlled cultivation with improved contamination management
- Produces protein-rich algal biomass
- Supports carbon utilization and circular economy
- Can integrate with Bio-CNG and biogas plants
- Modular and scalable for different CO₂ sources
- Creates an additional revenue opportunity from captured CO₂
Potential Applications
Algae-derived biomass can be further processed for applications in animal feed, aquaculture, biofertilizers, nutraceuticals and other protein-based products, subject to species selection, regulatory requirements and downstream processing.
